About Us

What started as a hobby in 1999 has grown into a business for our family. Solsma's Punkin Patch is a great place for a fun fall family outing! When it comes to fall, we have it all! Fall produce, gourmet popcorn, corn maze, country store, and good fun are what you'll find.
Our patch has grown every year and we enjoy meeting new friends from all over the country. In 2008, we had visitors from 29 states and 3 foreign countries.
Our goals are to provide a great product from Iowa, whether it be a pumpkin, our famous Ruby Red Popcorn, our home raised Hereford beef, or any of the other great Iowa products we sell.

The World's Greatest County Fair, The Clay County Fair, in Spencer is just 20 miles east of Solsma's Punkin Patch. Those dates are September 6-14.
Our Very Own Ruby Red Popcorn is a smaller kernel popcorn that pops bright white with small red hull speckles. It has a rich nutty flavor that everyone loves! Raised with love on our very own farm in northwest Iowa. Royal Blend popcorn is a blend of the Ruby Red and a Royal Blue popcorn. It has a larger kernel and is great for caramel corn. Shipping available in the continental US.

Solsma's Punkin Patch started in 1999 and we strive to add new and exciting products every year. We planted 65 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and squash. Our country store features our very own homegrown Ruby Red Popcorn, melons, beef, pork, chicken, honey, Watkins products and so much more. New this year are Native Iowa Wines. Our corn maze is a blast for all ages.

A Great Adventure through a TALL Crazy, Curvy Iowa cornfield for your family, 4-H club, or church group. Group rates available.
Lots of space for parking.
Fire pits for roasting marshmallows or weenies. Bring your own food.
