Pumpkin Days on the Farm 2014 in loving memory of Mr. John C. Benton Jr. RIP 5-31-14. Help us make his first year in 72 yrs not on this farm a wonder to all! Mr. and Mrs. Benton started over 20+ years ago opening their farm to the public and school field trips. Now with his hard work the IRS made a nonprofit 501C3 educational farm mission for his farm to be here for generations long past us! Donations to the farm go directly to low income schools and low income summer farm camp participants and in the up keep of his beautiful family farm. Donations can be made by check or via PayPal on bentonfarm. com all year long. Consider this tax deductible option this year and a tax letter will be provided as soon as donation received. Farming is not an easy task and nor will that ever change but you can help by supporting the farm for future events.
Adventure Days 2015 Open registration! Books fast! 35 children max per week.
If your child loves animals and being outside then this will be a very remerable week of their summer! This is our third year for Adventure Days on the farm! This is all hands on learning on the farm.
Caring for the animals, feeding the animals, learning to shear sheep and goats, washing sheep, hayrides with a very spoiled goat, sack races, working in the dirt, milking the cow, tending to the chicks, learning to fish, collecting plenty of worms, many new friendships, scavenger hunts, searching for arrowheads and more fishing!! Most important we learn so much about all the animals and its all hands on learning. Warning parents your kids will love this adventure and they will be ready for bed early and up early ready to come back!! We have no more than 20 children here each week so sign up early!
