History and Legend

Abraham Mortimer was a man consumed by his passion for the coffin business. He owned a factory located at the top of Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Canada, where he spent every waking hour supervising the construction of his coffins and monitoring the success of his enterprise. But at night, when the factory was closed, Abraham's peace was disturbed by a group of mischievous teens who would torment him with their pranks and taunts. Though Abraham would chase them away, they always returned, laughing at his threats.

One fateful night, however, things took a dark turn. Abraham confronted a rowdy group of thrill-seekers and in the ensuing struggle, a stack of solid oak coffins overturned, crushing him to death. The guilty parties ran off and were never apprehended for their role in the gruesome murder.

After his funeral, it was discovered that Abraham's own coffin had been dug up and was found to be empty. To this day, it is said that the spirit of Abraham Mortimer haunts the halls of his beloved, now abandoned factory, seeking revenge on those who dare to trespass on his property.
