Scary movies coming to a theater near you this October

1. Halloween Ends

Theater release date: October 14, 2022

Laurie Strode is attempting to finish her memoir while living with her granddaughter four years after her last encounter with the masked killer Michael Myers. Since then, Laurie hasn’t seen Myers, and she finally decides to let go of her rage and fear and embrace life. However, Laurie is forced to confront the evil she cannot control when a young man is accused of murdering a boy while babysitting. This naturally causes a chain reaction of violence and terror.

2. Smile

Theater release date: September 30, 2022

Dr. Rose Cotter begins to experience frightening occurrences that she is unable to explain after witnessing a bizarre and traumatic incident involving a patient. Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality as an overwhelming terror begins to take over her life.

3. Trick ‘r Treat

Theater release date: October 6, 2022

We visit a small town that faces real ghosts and goblins on Halloween night. A series of intertwined stories show that some traditions should be kept alive. A grumpy hermit’s encounter with a sinister trick-or-treater and the consequences of lighting a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight are revealed in terror stories.

4. Poltergeist – 40th Anniversary

Theater release date: September 25, 2022

When ghosts communicate with Steve, Diane, Dana, Robbie, and Carol Ann Freeling through the television. This family has to deal with strange and eerie events. When Carol Ann goes missing, Steve and Diane turn to a parapsychologist and eventually an exorcist for assistance. At first, the spirits are friendly and playful, but they soon become unexpectedly menacing.
